What bought you to NYC?

  I saved up $500 and jumped on a bus after I finished grad school. Acting in New York has always been a dream of mine.

Is it a career for you? How do you feel about that?

  Yes, it’s the one thing I was really meant to do.

What do you like most about your character in Love!?

  I love that Katherine is so passionate about her relationship with Ian. It proves that love isn’t always perfect and you need to work at it. She learns a lot about herself through her patients, and through some heart-ache her relationship becomes stronger. I respect that.

  My current one. He’s the love of my life.

Your favorite old love song?

  "Come Rain or Come Shine," Ann Hampton Callaway’s version, or maybe "Fever"

Favorite place for a date in NY and why

  There are so many places in New York that I love to go, but I would have to say either Central Park (during the day, of course), or The Cloisters. There is a wonderful restaurant there called New Leaf.

Is romance alive today? How do you know?

  Most definitely. His name is Dan.

Have you been in love? What is/was it like?

  Yes, but never like I am right now. It’s a little cliché’, but it’s really true. When it happens you’re like, “Oh, right! I get it now.” You just know.
